Good

Good is the firmest category on the Australian ten-point going scale, covering ratings 1 to 4, with Good 3 and Good 4 the most common on a normal race day. Good tracks produce the fastest times and the most predictable results, and are the baseline against which wet-track performance is judged. A horse whose entire record is on Good ground is unproven rather than unsuited when rain arrives.
